For centuries, scientists, physicians and researchers have taken a keen interest in hypnotherapy. More specifically, they’ve been driven by a simple question: Does hypnotherapy provide medical benefits? Today, we have decades worth of research that says, yes, hypnotherapy can help alleviate a variety of conditions.
Hypnotherapy is guided relaxation, an altered state of awareness, a focus of attention that is sometimes called a trance. The person's attention is so focused while in this state that anything going on around the person is temporarily blocked out or ignored.
Hypnosis resembles a day time nap therefore is a very pleasant experience, your body is deeply relaxed, and your mind is active to day dreams. During this nap like time, you are open to suggestions and therefore therapy is much more effective. It is important to know that you are always fully in control throughout the session and it is entirely your choice to follow any suggestions made during therapy. All suggestions made are always of a positive nature.
Positive suggestions in facing your fears and phobia’s, taking control of your eating habits, smoking habits or any behaviour you wish to change. Hypnotherapy will enable you to manage your pain or anxiety levels. You can achieve a greater level of self-belief and confidence.
Hypnotherapy is a versatile and extremely effective therapy, and as such, can often take fewer sessions to achieve the desired results than commonly perceived.
The first appointment will take approximately 90 minutes. It is important to gain a good level of information and understanding of your medical history. Subsequent sessions will take around 1 hour.
