Spring is the Real Time for Change.
If we are being honest, most people are not a fan of January. Off the back of the stresses of Christmas, we are into a month that feels as though it has 387 days, it has very little light and warmth therefore not a lot of spare energy going around. Yet, this has become the month where people seem to feel pressured into making positive life changes. The date says it is a ‘New Year’ but at this point, nature doesn’t give of new vibes – January is in the depth of winter. What if I told you it’s totally okay to ignore that January push and wait for Spring?
January can be a pretty rubbish time to make big life changes, our mojo is usually pretty low. It’s like trying to run a marathon on an empty tank. Plus, when you stop and think about it, resolutions usually come from a place of “I need to fix myself,” rather than genuine motivation.
So, if we look more towards our natural world and follow our instincts then the start of Spring would be a good time to begin your journey of growth and change! The days get longer, flowers start blooming, and the sun’s out, the world starts to feel light and bright, we’re naturally more energised and optimistic. It’s like the universe is giving us a nudge to start fresh. Research even shows that we’re more likely to stick to new habits when we align them with positive seasonal vibes.
So, if you’re feeling meh about New Year’s resolutions, or like you’re failing already, take a deep breath, ditch the pressure and wait for Springtime. Celebrate the new beginnings with the blooming flowers, and you’ll be more likely to make lasting changes 💪.
Spring into change – not the January’s hype!
Wait for the better weather and good vibes.
Align your goals with nature’s renewal.
Make changes when you feel energised, not drained.
Give yourself permission to chill this January.
